The goal of the Comprehensive Center for Pain Research at the University of Florida is to provide you with useful information about pain research.

Our mission is to serve people in pain by:

Promoting novel research that will help us understand the underlying mechanisms of acute and chronic pain and ultimately lead to more effective strategies of pain management
Educating health professionals to help improve the management of acute and chronic pain
Developing programs in pain prevention, especially for those in professions that are predisposed to chronic pain
Promoting new research initiatives by developing fundraising strategies with federal and non-federal agencies
Promoting partnerships with private companies and federal agencies that are focused on different aspects of pain prevention, management, education, and research
