Potential cross-disciplinary interactions that could develop with the CCPR include: the McKnight Brain Institute, Center for Drug Discovery, Center for Neurobiological Sciences, Center for Rehabilitation Studies, Center for Womens Studies and Gender Research, Institute on Aging, Center for Clinical Trials Research, Center for Musculoskeletal Injury Research, Center for Neurobiology of Aging, Clinical Research Center, Geriatric Education Center, Center for Musculoskeletal Training and Research, Parker Mahan Center of Facial Pain, and the UF Cancer Center. These and other departments throughout the University Community as well as satellite facilities around the State provide the opportunity for the Comprehensive Center of Pain Research to become a coordinating and facilitating agent in developing and promoting comprehensive programs in education, training, research, treatment and prevention of chronic pain.
